Theme Park

Design Criteria:
  • Have guests feel that they have entered the world of One Piece.
  • Each section of the park must have a different feel and look.
  • Wide variety of attractions.
  • Fun and exciting.

The One Piece Theme park is a series of islands that are connected to form a circle. Each island is designed to be a theme based off of important islands in the world of One Piece. Guests to the theme park will be able to experience lifestyles and activities that are in relation to which island they are on. There are 5 islands. Sabaody Archipelago, Arabasta Kingdom, Thriller Bark, Skypiea and Water 7.

The first island is also the entrance to the park. Sabaody Archipelago is a mangrove forest filled with bubbles and rays of light giving the atmosphere an almost rainbow appearance.

In the story of One Piece Sabaody Archipelago is a place where rich nobles come to shop and mingle. To replicate the feel of elegance and sophistication this island will have many fine dining restaurants and small sweet and pastry shops. In addition Sabaody Archipelago will be where guests can come to relax and play with the bubbles. Or perhaps do some shopping.

In addition the tops of the mangrove trees will allow guest to sit and "people watch" the rest of the park.

Sabaody Archipelago is the only island where the Straw Hat characters will not be wondering around. (but their wanted posters will be all over the place)

The next island is Arabasta Kingdom. This deseart oasis will be home to the Rainbase Casino as well as the Royal Palace resort.

Unlike the other islands in the park Arabasta is designed to help you relax and forget that your even at a park. However, the island still contains plenty of things to do and see.

In the story of One Piece, Arabasta Kingdom is steeped in tradition and history.

Some of the ways we try to replicate this is by putting on street dances and large celebrations that span the island and highlight the islands Middle Eastern feel and vibe. The Straw Hat characters will also be seen in the streets putting on improve fights against the evil Crocodile and his Baroque Works minions to replicate the shows storyline for Arabasta.

The third island is Skypiea. In the show the island is a literal "Sky Island" that sits in the clouds.

To replicate the look and fell of being in the clouds extensive use of foam, fog, and other cloud machines can be used. In addition, the island will be built up (like in the picture) to give the ascending into the clouds feel. The water around the island will be treated to look milky white to coincide with the "Milky Road" that appears in Skypiea.

One of the activities that the guests can partake in is a giant wind turbine attraction that will allow the guests to float mid air and even elevate them to the next level of the island.

The main attraction to the Skypiea island will be the Waver races.

In the story of One Piece, wavers are basically jet skies that ride on clouds.

Guests will be able to race either against one another or Luffy and his pirate crew.

Guests will also be able to enjoy a live action comedy show done with the Wavers (see picture on the left) featuring Luffy, his crew and the villain of Skypiea, the lighting user, Enel.

The fourth island will be Water 7.

In the story of One Piece Water 7, like our Venice Italy, is a city of water canals and like Venice gondolas will be the primary transportation for guest (Called Yagara bulls in the show). The alleyways will be littered with shops and restaurants on the water that guests can pull up to with their boats and  enjoy.

Guests will also be able to ride mini water rides in their gondolas up and down the many waterfalls that litter the city of Water 7.
Yagara Bulls
Guests in Water 7 will be able to ride though the entire island at there own leisure. The idea behind Water 7 is to create a zone where Guests can ride through rather than walking.

The final island in the One Piece theme park is the Gothic horror themed island Thriller Bark.

Thriller Bark will be the most character heavy zone in the park. These character will include Luffy and his crew, Geko Moria, the villain of Thriller Bark, and his crew. Not to mention the fast number of zombies that litter the island.

The first thing guests will be treated with is numerous and near continuous street performances that will reenact Thriller Bark's storyline.

To help complete the experience a giant mechanical Oars (a literal giant monster) will come to life start the rampage near Moria's castle only to have the Straw Hats and Nightmare Luffy stop him.

The guests will also have access to Moria's castle and a mini haunted house horror show/mini roller coaster that travels throughout the castle and even outside where the giant mechanical Oars is.

The mini ride will be half stage play, where the ride slows down to show the actors, of the Straw Hat Pirates and their respective encounters and half mini roller coaster that dips you in and out of the dungeons and hallways of Moria's castle.

Lastly, at the end of the castle there will be a gift shop that will allow guests to create their own "patchwork" zombies as souvenirs.
